We all have a story, and mine began when I was young. I was always active as a child, had a very caring nature, and loved riding and showing horses. I especially enjoyed being outdoors. I was always active. However, not involved on a consistent basis in any type of exercise routine. As I entered my 30’s, it became noticeable to me that keeping my weight in check was more of a challenge. I began walking and gradually progressed to some strength training. It wasn’t until I was faced with a personal health issue that I truly took my health and fitness seriously.
I was fortunate to have met someone in the gym at the time who encouraged me daily. He was often there sharing his upbeat spirit and helping me take my mind off what I could not control, and guiding me to focus on the things I could control. His coaching and guidance allowed me to see myself as a stronger person than I have ever thought possible. I also saw the value of personal and consistent feedback in achieving goals.
From that phase of my life on, fitness became a life choice and a new lifestyle. I became so passionate about it that I studied and trained to make it my full-time profession. Personal training has provided me an avenue to give back as I was given to and to make a positive impact on people’s lives every day.
Fitness takes on many forms depending on who you speak with. Some are focused on the look of fitness and the shape of their body. Others are focused on how they feel each day, less aches and pains, and more energy. The definition that I believe will ultimately deliver whole body and lifetime fitness results is one that makes the body, mind, and spirit all a component of the definition. Overall fitness leads to enhanced energy, toned and strong bodies, and a general feeling of well-being that empowers us to live more active and fulfilling lives.
As your personal trainer, I will provide individual guidance, coaching, and planning to assist you in achieving your personal fitness goals. I am here for you...to listen to your needs and understand your goals, to develop a personal work-out plan specifically for you, to motivate and teach you, to challenge you further as you improve, and ultimately to keep you on track in achieving what you envision for your future.
